Icarus
if i offer you my tears,
will you turn them into stars,
and spread them across every inch of the sky?
If I showed you my flaws,
will you piece them up,
with a bit of love and a little bit of glue,
till the grey skies turn a bright shade of blue?
If I give you my voice,
will you promise not to laugh?
as sometimes it shakes
when my heart was broke in half.
So if I lend you my heart,
will you lend me yours?
‘cause I promise I’ll treasure it,
and make it my own.
